Welcome, Bobcats, new and returning! My name is Dr. Barbara Wright and I am so excited and honored to be serving as your new principal. I am looking forward to building positive relationships with students, families, staff and our community. I look forward to working together to build a culture of success and communication for our students.

I was born and grew up in the beautiful state of Michigan. As a wife of a US Army soldier, I have traveled and lived in many places in the United States and Europe. I started my career in Sierra Vista, Arizona, which led me to the wonderful Casa Grande Elementary School District.

I began my career as a middle school science and PE teacher. In 2003, I began serving as the principal of Mesquite Elementary in CGESD and in 2005, was appointed as Director of Curriculum and Instruction. I am a proud graduate of the University of Arizona where I earned a BA in Elementary Education, an MA in Educational Psychology, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

My husband, Warren, and I have two grown children and 4 "grand-puppies". Some of my favorite things to do include working in the garden, traveling to new places, playing board games with my family, and serving our community as a member of Kiwanis Club of Casa Grande, Rotary Club of Casa Grande, and I currently serve on the board of the Banner Casa Grande Hospital Foundation.
